I am a software engineer, veteran, and mathematician. My passion lies in problem-solving, games, and puzzles. I spent several years doing Modeling and Simulation (primarily for DOD and DHS), then did a career transition to the software development space. In my spare time you would likely find me reading The Expanse, playing MTG, patronizing my local coffee shop, working out, or hiking in the beautiful PNW. I am enthusiastic, pragmatic, and committed to personal and professional development.

I live in the greater Seattle area. When I moved to Seattle, I brought lessons learned from my commutes in DC. We picked the loveliest commute (by ferry) and kept going until we could afford a home. I do enjoy a hybrid schedule. My favorite schedule has been weekly, 2-3 days in, 2-3 days remote. That gives me the best of both worlds, the occasional happy hour/team lunch and parent teacher conference availability with time to devote to physical fitness.

Portfolio
I have created a web application called InnerCircle and a Wordle inspired game, as well as this website to showcase my skill set. InnerCircle is uses the Fresh framework, Preact, Tailwind, and Daisy UI on Deno with Deno-KV for a datastore. The Wordle inspired application is an example of a single page web application that uses strictly JavaScript, CSS, and HTML and not hosted, but served through githubraw. This website is done with React and Tailwind in a NextJS framework.
